Abstract
INTRODUCTION: This study was to examine the effect of recovery of car-diovascular functions and blood lactate density between the rest recovery and the sports massage recovery after the max-imum exercise.

METHOD: The identical objects consisted of sixteen university students participated in the study at a week intervals. The exercise test on treadmill operated using the maximum heart rate expected by an age.

RESULT: After the ex-ercise, comparing with before and after exercise, there was not a difference about the change of the maximum blood pressure between the rest recovery and the sports massage recovery. After the recovery, there was also no significant difference observed. However, there was no difference about the change of the minimum blood pressure, heart rate, blood lactate den-sity between the rest recovery and the sports massage recovery comparing between before doing an exercise and after the exercise. But there was a significant difference after the recovery(p< .001).

CONCLUSION: Sports massage recovery seems better than rest recovery to relieve cardiovascular and blood
lactate density after exercise.
